L.A. has its own board game tournament, and you can’t miss it.
Here are a few things to get you started, including games, vendors, and food:LAS VEGAS — Play in a game room in the Convention Center.
There are plenty of other places to play board games in Las Vegas this weekend.
Here are some options to start:THE VENUS CITY BATHROOM — In the Convention Plaza, the Venetian Hotel offers free board games for the entire weekend, plus free food for attendees.
They have some fun games, too, like the “Lucky Number” game.
The LOS ANGELES PLAYERS’ CONFERENCE — This weekend’s theme is “The Play,” which is a play on the theme of “The Real World.”
The theme is an homage to the play of the same name from the Broadway musical, “Hamilton.”
This weekend, you can pick up a new version of the play from the show’s producers, and get to see it with your own eyes.THE PLAYING ROOM — The BoardGameGeek.com is hosting a free game-play workshop on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. and a second free game on Sunday from 2 to 6:30 p.c. at the LA Convention Center, 101 South Broadway.
The sessions include game setup, rules, and more.GAME CLUB — A group of players can play a game of “Maze Runner,” which has a lot of different twists and turns.
They can go from “the only escape” to the “most deadly escape.”THE GOLF CLUB & LOUNGE — The Game Shop and the Los Angeles Golf Club are hosting a weekend of golf in the Parkland neighborhood.
There’s a $50 golf tournament on Sunday and an $80 tournament on Monday.THE HISTORY ROOM (LAT.)
— The History Room is hosting the first-ever “Historical History Night” in downtown Los Angeles.
They’ll have the full-scale history of Los Angeles from the first settlers to the 1960s, with the main event being the unveiling of the Los Santos County Archives’ collection.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Museum of Contemporary Art is hosting an exhibit on the history of L.L. Bean.
There are a bunch of different events, but you’ll have to make a reservation.THE LOS EL REY PUBLIC LIBRARY — This L.E.D. Library in downtown LA will be open from 6 p,m.
to 10 p.p.m., with free Wi-Fi.
The Public Library of Lompoc, Calif., will be offering free library hours.
There is a $10 fee for library visits, but there is also a free library lunch for all library patrons.
The library also has a full schedule of events and classes.
There will also be free yoga classes at the Lompopo Center for the Performing Arts, from 8 a.m.-noon, and yoga sessions at the Museum of the Pacific at Lompomattos Park, from 9 a.k.-3 p.y.
This Lompo Center is located on Lompos Island.
The Lompoca Center is also located on the island, but they have a lot more amenities and services.THE LIBRARIAN — You can watch the first season of the show, “Dancing with the Stars,” on the new “Lip Sync Battle” series.
The series is based on “Orange Is the New Black,” so it will be interesting to see how the characters will react to the new show.
There will also also be a series of music videos from the season, including “Get Lucky.”THE VETERANS INSTITUTE OF MEDICINE — The Veterans Affairs Medical Center is hosting free board and card games this weekend, including two games that are not for the faint of heart: “The Poker Game” and “The Board Game.”
This is a great chance to play one of the best board games available.
The Veterans Hospital has an extensive library, and they also have games for children.VETERAN HEALTH AND MEDICARE — This Sunday, you’ll be able to take advantage of the Veteran Health and Medical Care Program, which provides healthcare to veterans in need.
You’ll be eligible to receive up to $100 per month.
You also can sign up for the Veterans Advantage Card and get a free copy of “Downton Abbey.”
There are many different programs and activities, so make sure you take advantage.
