The New Jersey Department of Education has suspended more than 20 trucks running board-sized running boards at several high schools in the state because of safety concerns, the Department of Environmental Protection announced Wednesday.
The agency issued a statement saying the suspensions were related to “a significant fire that occurred at a construction site at the State University of New Jersey, and we believe the safety of our employees, students and community is in our best interest.”
It did not identify the school.
The school board says it has no further information on the cause of the fire.
The suspension affects the schools of Woodside, Cushing, Monmouth and Passaic.
